This page explains how our independent watch restoration and customization studio operates, how we describe our projects, and the compliance principles we follow within the European Union.

Independent Watch Studio

This website is operated by an independent watch restoration and customization studio. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, or officially connected to any watch brand mentioned on this website, including (without limitation) Panerai, Cartier, Breitling, Rolex, or their parent companies.

All trademarks, brand names, logos, and model names are the property of their respective owners. Any use of such identifiers on this website is made solely for descriptive, informational, and identification purposes.

European Union Legal Framework

Our services are performed lawfully and transparently within the European Union. We operate in line with EU consumer protection and fair commercial practice principles, including (but not limited to):

  • Directive 2005/29/EC (Unfair Commercial Practices) — requires clear, non-misleading information.
  • Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights) — supports transparency regarding product characteristics.
  • Regulation (EU) 2017/1001 (EU Trade Mark) and Directive (EU) 2015/2436 (Trade Marks) — allow descriptive use of trademarks where there is no implication of endorsement or authorization.

In practical terms, independent service providers in the EU may repair, restore, customize, and resell branded goods, provided that customers are not misled and modifications / non-original components are clearly disclosed. Transparency is a core principle of our studio.

Restoration & Customization Disclosure

Watches presented on this website are pre-owned timepieces and may undergo professional servicing, restoration, and/or customization. Depending on the project, work may include:

  • complete servicing or restoration of the movement (inspection, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment),
  • cosmetic refinishing of cases or components (where appropriate),
  • restoration of existing parts or installation of replacement parts,
  • installation of custom-made components,
  • replacement of straps or bracelets.

Each project page contains a specific description of the work performed. Unless explicitly stated, no watch is presented as factory-new.

Movements, Calibres & Technical Descriptions

Where applicable, movements may be restored or rebuilt using official Swiss base calibres (for example, ETA architectures) in order to reflect a historical architecture or technical specification. Any mention of a brand calibre is provided for technical clarity only.

Unless explicitly stated, references to a brand calibre do not mean the movement is a factory-issued movement supplied by the brand, and do not imply manufacturer authorization.

Custom Components & Bespoke Modifications

Certain projects may include bespoke, custom-made or modified components (for example casebacks, rotors, dials, or decorative elements). Such components are clearly described as custom-made, bespoke, studio-crafted, or modified, as applicable.

Custom components are independently designed and manufactured by our studio and are not original factory parts unless explicitly stated. Any modifications are intended to be transparent and to prevent misrepresentation of the watch as factory-original.

Authenticity & Originality

We preserve original manufacturer components, serial numbers, and identifying markings whenever possible. However, restoration and customization may result in a watch that no longer fully corresponds to its original factory configuration.

All descriptions are provided to the best of our knowledge and expertise. If a component is replaced or custom-made, this is disclosed in the relevant project description.

No Manufacturer Warranty

Any manufacturer warranty is generally considered void once a watch has been serviced, restored, or modified outside the official brand service network. Any warranty (if offered) applies only to the work performed by our studio and only under the specific terms stated for that project.

Intellectual Property

Unless stated otherwise, photographs, texts, and custom design elements displayed on this website are the intellectual property of our studio. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use without written permission is prohibited.

Limitation of Liability

All information on this website is provided for general informational purposes. While we aim for accuracy and transparency, we are not liable for:

  • minor inaccuracies, omissions, or typographical errors,
  • third-party interpretations beyond the intended descriptive purpose,
  • decisions made based on the information presented on this website.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This website and related activities are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable laws of the Member State in which the studio operates. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the European Union.
